COVID Task Force Report #3

March 8, 2022

As transmission rates and hospitalizations continue to decline in the District, the Session has been in conversation with the NYAPC COVID Task Force about how we should respond with our own safety protocols. In our most recent Session meeting this past Tuesday evening March 8, 2002,  the Session decided it was time to take the following steps:

  • Food or drink may be served at small group events inside the building. Congregation-wide events, including coffee fellowship after worship remains outside.

  • Masking requirements remain indoors in the building unless actively eating or drinking. Exceptions may be provided by the head of staff for one-time space rentals to outside groups.

  • Choir members also remain masked with the exception of soloists with longer parts who have tested prior to performing.

*The Session will revisit these policies at its April 12th meeting.

We all hope that this is a trend that will continue, and will be able to continue to make adjustments as they seem appropriate.  As always, please continue to provide feedback, ask COVID related questions or share COVID related concerns at taskforce@nyapc.org.
