SUMMARY:Images for God: Part Two
DESCRIPTION:We use metaphors for God all the time: intimate ones like mother and father\, powerful ones like Lord and King. Over two Sundays in the Lincoln Parlor\, Meg House will lead an exploration some less common metaphors from the Hebrew Scriptures: images like Water\, Rock\, and Cloud. We’ll look at scripture\, explore what the metaphor might mean\, and ask\, what difference does this metaphor make? We’ll also take away one idea for a spiritual practice to try over the next week. Light lunch/snacks will be served. (These sessions are based on the book “God is Here\,” by Rabbi Toba Spitzer. No reading necessary!)
