The federal government is planning to cut of SNAP benefits (food-stamps) on November 1\, leaving tens-of-thousands of Washingtonians without adequate access to food. \nThe Radcliffe Room serves a hot breakfast to close to 200 guests every Sunday morning. If you can help\, please donate the following: \n— pop-top canned chili (i.e.\, lid can be removed without a can-opener)\n— pop-top canned chicken\n— pop-top canned tuna/salmon/sardines\n— pop-top canned beans\n— pop-top canned Vienna sausages\n— peanut-butter sandwich crackers\n— single-portion beef/turkey jerky\n— single-portion nuts or trail-mix\n— granola bars\n— Ensure \nThank you for your generosity — given the need\, no amount is too much. Please contact Phil Telfeyan (phil@telfeyan.love) to arrange drop-off at the front desk of the church any day this week for distribution this upcoming Sunday at 8:15am. Donations brought to church on Sunday will be distributed the following Sunday.

SUMMARY:Adult Conversation Hour: "Grace Shines Its Face in Troubled Times"
DESCRIPTION:In a season when the world feels heavy\, poetry can open us to both heartbreak and hope. \n“The grace of God in my mind is shaped like a key that comes from time to time and unlocks the heavy doors.” \nOn November 9\, 16 and 23 at 9 am in the Docherty Center on the first floor\, Paul Dornan will guide a time of reading\, reflection\, and conversation. These poems may weigh heavily at first\, but they also carry the possibility of lifting our spirits and opening us to God’s presence in troubled times. \nThe gathering ends at 9:50 am. All are welcome. No registration required.

SUMMARY:Christmas Poinsettia Dedications
DESCRIPTION:Embrace the spirit of Christmas by participating in our beautiful Christmas Flower Dedication tradition. The Deacons arrange these blossoms in the Sanctuary\, providing a touching way to honor or remember those who hold a special place in your heart. No matter the contribution amount\, your dedication is a heartfelt gesture. \nAs part of our Christmas celebration\, we’ll recognize your thoughtful contribution by listing your name in the bulletin on December 21 & 24\, allowing the entire congregation to share in your tribute. \nMoreover\, the Deacons extend the festive spirit beyond the Sanctuary. We are seeking volunteers to help distribute these lovely Christmas plants to members who are homebound or hospitalized\, as well as others within our congregation. If you can lend a hand with this act of kindness\, please indicate your availability on the form. \nFor any inquiries or further assistance\, don’t hesitate to reach out to Kirstin. \nSubmit your Poinsettia Dedication here. \nYou can also submit a dedication using a physical form on Sunday\, which can be found at the Usher stations. \nAll Christmas Poinsettia Dedications are due by December 7. Let’s make this Christmas truly special and memorable\, together.
