SUMMARY:"Prophetic Preaching in a Tone-Deaf Culture" with Kenyatta Gilbert
DESCRIPTION:Dean Kenyatta Gilbert will give a presentation examining what it means to preach about justice and work for it daily. He will share insights from the African-American religious tradition that can help churches and individuals become more effective prophetic witnesses. After his remarks\, he will dialogue with Rev. Lionel Edmonds\, a Washington\, DC\, pastor and social justice activist. \nKenyatta R. Gilbert\, PhD\, is the dean of Howard University’s School of Divinity.
