Lent and Easter 2023
Lent begins February 22 with Ash Wednesday. We have a variety of opportunities for you to participate in and deepen your faith during this season, from special worship services and music to our congregation’s Lenten Devotional Book to an all-congregation anti-racism book study. See below for details.
Lent Sermon Series: “I Have a Question . . .”
Traditionally, Lent is the season in the church year focused on deepened reflection and examination. During Lent, we take stock of and explore where and how our lives are growing more and more into the likeness of Jesus Christ, into the people God calls us to be.
This year, we will undertake that spiritual journey by exploring some of faith’s more challenging questions:
- What about faith and race?
- What does it mean to be saved?
- What is the Bible?
- Why did Jesus have to die?
- What gives us hope?
