On Palm Sunday, we remember Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey — a deliberate act of prophetic theater that subverted the imperial processions of his day. In the Reformed tradition, faithful witness has always included speaking truth to earthly power, recognizing that our ultimate allegiance belongs to God alone.
This Palm Sunday, you are invited to join the “No Kings” protest as an act of worship and public discipleship, embodying the same conviction that greeted Jesus: that no earthly ruler holds the authority that belongs to God. Join friends as we march across the Memorial Bridge to Washington, DC, past the Lincoln Memorial, and on to the Washington Monument.
NYAPC friends will meet at the Arlington Cemetery Metro platform at 9:45 am. Look for Pastor Sarah wearing her NYAPC blue t-shirt. We invite those coming to the protest with NYAPC to also wear their NYAPC t-shirt, if they have one.
