Since 2007, NYAPC has partnered with the Njoro Presbyterian Church of East Africa (P.C.E.A.) to support the Njoro Orphan and Vulnerable Children (OVC) Program. We build our relationship through Zoom meetings, visiting them in Kenya, inviting them to visit us, and sharing resources.

The program offers a range of vital resources and services, including nutritious meals, clothing, educational supplies such as uniforms, shoes, schoolbags, books, and writing materials. Additionally, school fees, physical fitness materials, sports shoes, and educational and recreational programs, including tutoring, are provided. The program also extends assistance to the relatives and foster families who selflessly care for these children, offering corn flour to those facing economic hardship.

Through this initiative, approximately 35 children receive comprehensive support, empowering them to thrive and succeed despite challenging circumstances. This collaborative effort between New York Avenue Presbyterian Church and Njoro Presbyterian Church of East Africa aims to make a lasting impact on the lives of these vulnerable children and their communities.
