During the DC Pride Parade on Saturday, June 7, New York Avenue Presbyterian Church will once again open its doors as a place of welcome, rest, and refreshment—right along the route at 14th & New York Ave NW. From 12:30 to 6:30 pm, we’ll be offering free water, snacks, sunscreen, restrooms, air conditioning, and a peaceful Sanctuary to anyone who needs a break from the crowd.
We need your help to make it happen!
We’re looking for volunteers to greet guests, hand out water and snacks, and help keep our space cool and welcoming—both at our outdoor table and inside the building. Sign up to volunteer here.

We’re collecting supplies to support this hospitality effort—especially bottled water, individually packaged snacks, and sunscreen. Drop off donations at the church reception desk during the week, or purchase directly from our Amazon Wishlist to have them shipped to us.
