Allies in Action: Our Collaborative Network
McClendon Center
For over 40 years, the McClendon Center has provided critical programs and services to vulnerable adults in our community who live with mental illness. The Center’s programs support and empower them to live more independently and improve their quality of life.
Downtown Day Center
Since 2019, the Downtown Day Services Center has supported individuals experiencing homelessness. The Center utilizes a housing-first method and offers onsite support through a multitude of services within a single point of access. This program is run by the Downtown Business Improvement District.
Educational Foundation
The New York Avenue Educational Foundation’s (NYAEF) goal is to be a catalyst of educational advancement for youth in need. NYAEF seeks to promote a nation’s capital that empowers each and every young person to realize their potential and become a productive citizen.
WIN
The Washington Interfaith Network (WIN) is a broad-based, multi-racial, multi-faith, strictly non-partisan, District-wide citizens’ power organization rooted in local congregations and associations. WIN is committed to training and developing neighborhood leaders, addressing community issues, and holding elected and corporate officials accountable in Washington, DC.
