Growing Faith, Inspiring Futures

We are dedicated to nurturing the faith, character, and growth of children and youth. Our Children & Youth Ministries provide a safe and inclusive environment where young individuals can deepen their relationship with God, build lasting friendships, and explore their unique gifts.

Children in Worship

Children are welcome, including all their excitement and noises. There is a dedicated children’s space in the back of the sanctuary with supplies and space for kids to wiggle. At each sanctuary entrance, there are brightly colored worship kits that children may borrow and use throughout worship at their seats. During worship, there is a children’s moment when children are invited forward to the front pew. After the children’s moment, on most Sundays, children ages 3 years old to 3rd grade may choose to go to Worship Play, returning after the sermon.

Nursery

Our nursery is available at 8:45am through worship on the 3rd floor for families with children up to 4 years old who choose to use it. We look forward to welcoming infants and toddlers to our nursery, staffed by trained, certified professional caregivers each Sunday.

Confirmation Info

Confirmation at NYAPC goes beyond a class – it’s a transformative experience. Students experience spiritual growth, build community, and reflect on their faith journey. This program is for 8th-12th graders who are interested in deepening their understanding of Christianity and a life of faith.  Through engaging lessons, discussions, and activities, participants explore the Bible, theology, worship, prayer, and discipleship. Each student is paired with a church member who mentors them throughout the program, providing guidance and support as students wrestle with tough questions and develop their own beliefs.  Confirmation is offered every other year and parallels the school year.  Upon completion, they have the opportunity to publicly affirm their faith and become full members of our church community. This milestone celebration connects them with a supportive network of believers and ongoing opportunities for spiritual growth.

Child Protection & Safety

We prioritize the safety and well-being of all children and youth. Our teachers and leaders follow strict child protection policies and we conduct background checks for all volunteers who will work with our young people.
