Does some of the language and imagery in our NYAPC communal worship – bible translations, music, communion liturgy – favor this Easter Story?. First, we are all stained at birth by “original sin”. Then Christ died on the cross for our sin – “penal substitutionary atonement”. Finally, on Easter we are “saved” by the resurrection.
